Our game changing Southern Cross Model brings a deeper, focused learning experience and our research is deeply connected to our regions, making a difference on a global scale. Your opportunity
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) partners with staff across the University to advance teaching excellence, educational innovation and student success through the Southern Cross Model. As the Administration Coordinator, you will provide high-level administrative and operational support to the Director and broader CTL team. Supporting multiple leaders and specialist teams, you will play a central role in coordinating events, meetings, systems, communications and project activities that keep the Centre running smoothly.
You will make an impact by:
-
Coordinating administrative support for the Director, including reporting, diary management, meeting preparation and stakeholder liaison
-
Supporting workshops, webinars, conferences, professional learning programs and Centre events, including registrations, communications and evaluation activities
-
Managing service requests, project administration and digital workflows through systems such as Jira and Smartsheets
-
Supporting onboarding, records management and operational processes, helping staff navigate University systems, procedures and requirements
-
Preparing agendas, taking minutes, tracking actions and contributing to project, committee and team activities across the Centre
What you will bring
You are a highly organised and adaptable administrator who enjoys being the person that keeps a busy team operating effectively. Comfortable managing competing priorities and supporting multiple stakeholders, you bring strong technology skills, initiative and a practical approach to solving problems. You enjoy variety in your work and are confident coordinating activities across events, systems, communications and operational support functions.
To succeed in this role, you will also need:
-
A relevant qualification and 2-3 years relevant work experience or equivalent.
-
Experience supporting leaders and teams with administration, coordination, events and stakeholder engagement activities
-
Strong technology skills across Microsoft 365 and the ability to quickly learn and navigate new systems and platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to liaise professionally and confidentially with a broad range of stakeholders
It’s not essential, but experience within a university or other large, complex organisation will be highly regarded. Experience with systems such as Jira, Smartsheets, Blackboard or Concur would also be advantageous.
