Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per annum + superannuation

LHS Rocktools (Australia) Pty Ltd is a specialist provider of drilling and rock tooling solutions for the mining and construction industries. We supply, maintain, and repair high-performance tools used in demanding operational environments across Western Australia.
Our operations support multiple remote mining sites throughout Western Australia, in addition to workshop-based services. We are committed to quality workmanship, safety, and continuous improvement.
Position Overview
We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Driller's Assistants to join our team. The successful candidate will provide on-site support for drilling operations across various mining sites in Western Australia, assisting with the preparation, operation, inspection, and basic maintenance of drilling equipment and drill bits while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist Drillers with daily drilling operations at customer sites.
· Prepare, handle, and transport drilling equipment, drill rods, drill bits, and related tools.
· Inspect drill bits and drilling tools for wear or damage and carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance.
· Assist with the assembly, dismantling, and relocation of drilling rigs and supporting equipment.
· Operate hand and workshop tools safely to support drilling and equipment maintenance activities.
· Report equipment faults, worn components, and safety hazards to the Driller or Supervisor.
· Maintain records of drilling activities, drill bit usage, and maintenance performed.
· Comply with all workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Requirements:
· English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.0 in each band or higher.
· At least one year of relevant industry experience.
· Certificate III in Engineering (or higher) or a related engineering qualification.
· Current manual driver's licence.
· Strong practical skills and demonstrated ability to use hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Forklift ticket (desirable)
