The opportunity
Our Strategic Waste Services team have an opportunity for a Contracts Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. It’s an exciting time to join the team as we’re in the beginning stages of our FOGO implementation plans across the Local Government area.
The Waste Services Contracts Officer is key in ensuring the administration of our Waste contracts, processing of invoices, monthly reporting, and maintaining strong relationships with our customers and suppliers.
Coordinating and managing contracts will be your bread and butter, ensuring consistent delivery of waste services to our residents including all kerbside collection services, skip bins for our Council commercial premises, sanitary and sharp services, mattress recycling and collection, and other ad-hoc waste services.
- This is a permanent opportunity – working full-time 35 hours / week + access to a flexible working arrangement
- Base Salary Range: $80,449 to $94,643 pa based on 35 hours / week + 12% superannuation + $2,562 retention allowance
- You will be working from PSC Administration Building, Raymond Terrace

- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in contract administration and management
- Demonstrated contractor management skills including the preparation and assessment of tenders
- Demonstrated experience in financial management including reconciliation of accounts and complex invoices
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with legislation, regulation and codes of practice that impact on waste management
