We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Roadtrain (Truck) Driver to join our professional team. The role involves transporting freight to mining-related sites across Western Australia, where some mine sites require drivers to self-load vehicles. Accordingly, a valid Loader/Loading Ticket (or the ability to obtain one before commencement) is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate roadtrain and heavy combination vehicles across designated routes.
- Transport freight in accordance with delivery schedules and company requirements.
- Conduct pre-start, en-route and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure all loads are secured and transported safely.
- Load and/or self-load freight and equipment where required at mining sites in Western Australia, ensuring compliance with site-specific safety procedures and operational requirements.
- Complete delivery documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Comply with all Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), road transport regulations and company policies.
- Report vehicle defects, maintenance issues and incidents promptly.
- Maintain a clean and professional presentation of company vehicles.
- Follow fatigue management and work diary requirements.
- Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with clients and delivery locations.
Essential Requirements
- Valid Australian MC (Multi Combination) Driver Licence.
- Valid Loader/Loading Ticket (or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement), as some Western Australian mine sites require drivers to self-load vehicles.
- Demonstrated experience operating roadtrain or heavy combination vehicles.
- Good knowledge of Australian road transport regulations.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including long-distance interstate travel.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.Desirable
- Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence (preferred but not essential).
- Forklift Licence (advantageous).
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- Experience operating modern fleet management systems and electronic work diaries.
