What you'll be doing
As a Pharmacist Grade 2, you will provide specialist clinical pharmacy services to the Renal Unit, ensuring the safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medicines while delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimise medication management and improve patient outcomes.
Provide specialist clinical pharmacy services, including medication assessment and pharmaceutical care for renal patients.
Deliver expert medicines information and medication management advice to patients and healthcare professionals.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance activities, protocol development and quality improvement initiatives.
Supervise pharmacy technicians, students and support staff while promoting safe medication distribution practices.
Participate in weekend, overtime and on-call rosters to support the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services.

Essential Criteria
Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions e.g Bachelor of Pharmacy. Must satisfy Grade 2 classification as per Health Employees Pharmacists (State) Award.
Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated satisfactory experience in clinical hospital pharmacy practice in renal medicine or equivalent.
Demonstrated good therapeutic knowledge and ability to exercise a high level of initiative in the application of pharmaceutical principles to clinical practice
Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work and manage time to meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to effect practice change
Excellent time management with attention to detail
