Montrose Veterinary Centre is looking for an enthusiastic Head Veterinary Nurse to join our leadership team and help shape the future of our large, busy and varied hospital.

Your role
As Head Nurse, you’ll combine hands-on clinical nursing with genuine leadership and influence. You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Lead, mentor and develop our nursing team
- Support junior nurses and emerging leaders
- Shape nursing protocols, workflows and standards
- Help coordinate hospital and surgical cases
- Develop our orthopaedic, hospital and rehabilitation nursing
- Drive staff training and professional development
- Bring ideas forward and see them implemented
- Work closely with veterinary leadership to continually improve patient care
More than a nursing role

We’re looking for someone who:
- Is an experienced veterinary nurse ready for their next challenge
- Has strong clinical skills and a passion for patient care
- Enjoys a busy, varied hospital environment
- Has an interest in surgery, orthopaedics and/or rehabilitation
- Loves mentoring and developing others
- Has strong communication and organisational skills
- Leads by example and isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo
Leadership experience is highly regarded, but we’re also open to an experienced nurse ready to step into their first formal leadership role.
