An Exciting Opportunity:
Derbarl Yerrigan is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dentist to join our practice in Perth, Western Australia, mainly based at our largest clinic in East Perth & our brand new clinic in Midland. This part-time Maximum Term role is ideal for a Dentist looking to provide high-quality preventative, restorative & emergency dental care at an Aboriginal Medical Service.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing patient health and wellbeing through comprehensive dental services.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough dental examinations and assessments to diagnose oral health issues.
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans for patients.
- Perform a range of dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, and preventative care.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and support staff to ensure efficient practice operations.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent qualification.
- Current AHPRA registration as a General Dentist.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal cultural issues impacting on health.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Computer skills in patient management systems.
- Commitment to continuing professional development and staying abreast of industry trends.
Desirable:
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
- Previous experience in Aboriginal Healthcare.
- Experience using Dental4Windows patient management software.
Appointment Prerequisites
- Provision of the minimum identity proofing requirements.
- Successful Criminal Record Screening Clearance.
- Successful Pre-Employment Health Assessment.
- Successful Working with Children Check.
- Evidence of current C or C-A Class driver’s license or other specialised license class.
