We work on various large-scale projects across Australia and are focused on providing our clients with efficient, effective, and safe solutions for all traffic management requirements.
We are seeking a Traffic Engineer to join our team in Melbourne to assist with traffic management plan design and on-site supporting requirements for various construction projects. We are currently delivering services on major government infrastructure projects, including the North East Link - North, Suburban Rail Loop (SRL).
As a Traffic Engineer, your role will focus:
· Develop Traffic Management Plans (TMP) and Worksite Traffic Management Plans (WTMP) in accordance with applicable standards
· Prepare and assess Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) using industry software (RapidPlan, MicroStation)
· Undertake traffic engineering analysis, including Traffic Impact Assessments (TIA)
· Perform risk assessments (HIRA) and recommend appropriate mitigation measures
· Conduct site inspections to assess traffic conditions and project requirements
· Carry out vehicle swept path analysis and movement assessments
· Liaise with government authorities (including DTP) and local councils to obtain approvals
· Support project delivery through coordination, documentation, and cost tracking
· Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and DTP (VicRoads) requirements
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
· Certification in Temporary Traffic Management Design - TMD Accreditation.
· Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in traffic engineering or transport infrastructure projects
· Experience in traffic modelling - SIDRA, planning, or engineering design
· Proficiency in drafting traffic guidance schemes in RapidPlan, AutoCAD and MicroStation
· Understanding of Australian Standards AGTTM and Road Management Act
· Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
