We are seeking a **passionate and experienced Early Childhood Teacher** to join our team as a **Co-Teacher in our 3-Year-Old Kindergarten Program**, commencing as soon as possible. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced ECT who enjoys **collaborative teaching, educational leadership and building strong relationships** with children, families and educators. The successful applicant will share this commitment and demonstrate a strong understanding of their responsibilities in promoting and maintaining child safety. Working alongside another ECT and the broader kindergarten team, you will contribute to the **planning, delivery, evaluation and ongoing development** of a high-quality 3-Year-Old Kindergarten program. You will play an important role in creating an engaging, inclusive and responsive learning environment where children are supported to develop their strengths, interests and capabilities. The position is offered on a **term contract until 18 December 2026, with the possibility of extension**. ### Key Responsibilities The successful applicant will: * Co-design, implement and evaluate a high-quality, play-based educational program aligned with the **VEYLDF, Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard**. * Place **child safety, wellbeing, participation and empowerment at the centre of teaching practice**. * Work collaboratively with the other ECT and educators to provide consistent and intentional teaching practice. * Contribute to curriculum planning, documentation and evaluation. * Observe, assess and document children's learning to inform curriculum planning and individual outcomes. * Build strong, respectful and responsive relationships with children, families and carers. * Support inclusive practices that respond to the diverse needs, strengths, interests and cultural backgrounds of children and families. * Recognise, respond to and report child safety concerns in accordance with relevant legislation, the **Child Safe Standards** and CSCC policies. * Contribute to the Centre's educational vision, Quality Improvement Plan and continuous improvement activities. * Support a positive, collaborative and reflective team culture. * Ensure the program operates in accordance with the **Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, National Quality Framework, Child Safe Standards and Centre policies**. * Contribute to maintaining a safe, healthy, inclusive and culturally safe learning environment. The successful applicant will bring: * Demonstrated experience working as an **Early Childhood Teacher**, preferably within a funded kindergarten program. * A strong and demonstrated commitment to **child safety and child-centred practice**. * Strong understanding of the **VEYLDF, National Quality Framework and Child Safe Standards**. * A collaborative approach to curriculum planning and teaching practice. * Strong communication and relationship-building skills. * A commitment to **play-based, intentional and inclusive teaching practice**. * Strong organisational, documentation and time-management skills. * A commitment to ongoing professional learning, reflective practice and continuous improvement. * The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative teaching team. * The ability to contribute positively to a culture where children feel **safe, heard, respected and empowered**.
* Approved **Bachelor of Early Childhood Education** or equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification. * Current **Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration**. * Current **First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications**.
