Working across both field and office settings, you'll combine technical expertise with strong relationship-building to uplift capability and drive best practice.
Key responsibilities include:
Creating and designing simple and complex Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) and Traffic Management Plans (TMP) in line with relevant standards and project requirements.
Monitoring and inspecting TTM implementation to ensure compliance, safety and continuous improvement.
Planning and coordinating TTM technical training and exploring new and innovative traffic management solutions.
Reviewing externally prepared TMPs and TGSs to ensure appropriate risk assessment and safety controls.
Supporting supervisors, managers and field staff through training, mentoring and on-site guidance
Interpreting the TTM Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) and assisting with performance management of contractors and traffic control providers.
Working collaboratively across regions to strengthen capability and champion continuous improvement in TTM practices.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
Applicants must possess a current, valid Queensland "C" class driver's licence or equivalent.
You may be required to travel to other locations within Queensland to undertake activities for varying periods of time. You will be entitled to expenses and allowances for such travel.

Desirable requirements
A Traffic Management Designer (TMD) qualification. Requirements of the role
Solid experience in creating simple and complex TMPs and TGSs using industry standard programs.
Knowledge of temporary traffic management technical documents.
Experience in ongoing monitoring of TTM implementation and performance.
Embraces change and leads with focus and optimism in an environment of complexity and ambiguity.
Builds and sustains relationships to enable the collaborative delivery of customer focused outcomes.
Thinks laterally to generate options and identifies long term consequences to justify appropriate solutions.
