Game Changer – Sporting Wheelies

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of people with disability? Sporting Wheelies is looking for a dynamic and community-minded Game Changers to join our Inclusive Programs team.
We are looking for people within both South East Queensland and throughout Queensland as we build our portfolio in other locations.
About the Role
In this role, you'll be at the heart of our "Raising the Bar" program — visiting Queensland schools to promote inclusive sport, build awareness of access and inclusion, and inspire students and communities to embrace a more accessible world. There are also opportunities to support other events at our Milton Clubhouse as well as in other community areas. This role can be very varied and rewarding. You must be comfortable sharing your story with children and adults.
Program Delivery
- Deliver engaging public presentations in school and community settings.
- Create a positive, welcoming atmosphere for participants.
- Collaborate with the team on school session planning and logistics.
- Lead and assist with physical sessions in school-based environments.
Promoting Sporting Wheelies
- Champion Sporting Wheelies sports and sporting pathways within the community.
- Promote Spinal Life Australia's Health and Fitness Centre services, including Exercise Physiology and allied health.
- Distribute marketing material as required.
About You
We are looking for someone who can connect with people from all walks of life, whether presenting to a school hall or chatting one-on-one with a participant. This role is perfect for those who have lived experience of a disability. Experience in disability sport, particularly Wheelchair Basketball, Boccia or Goalball is a bonus.
You will also need to have:
- o NDIS Workers Screening Card and Working with Children Card, or the willingness to obtain
- o NDIS Workers Orientation Modules certificate
- o Lived experience of a disability
