An established information technology distribution firm based in the Melbourne central business district is currently appointing a full-time Logistics Data Analyst to optimize regional supply chain pathways.
Primary Operations & Scope
The position centers on the technical evaluation of distribution networks and inventory management structures. The successful candidate will navigate massive raw data repositories to audit freight movements, isolate recurring shipping friction points, and address inventory variances. Key functional expectations include:
- Designing and executing complex SQL queries to extract data from multiple warehouse and freight databases.
- Transforming unrefined supply chain logs into dynamic performance dashboards via Power BI or advanced Excel functions to provide actionable visibility for regional managers.
- Executing systematic root-cause analyses on transit bottlenecks, delivery delays, and warehouse capacity constraints.
- Collaborating directly with fulfillment teams to streamline inventory tracking precision.
Candidate Requirements
This professional role requires a minimum of two years of dedicated data analysis experience within a dedicated logistics, freight forwarding, or large-scale product distribution environment. Applicants must demonstrate a methodical, rigorous approach to decoding complex database architectures and isolating operational anomalies.
