The Position
NDY is looking for a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to help lead and grow our Perth presence. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys technical excellence, client engagement, and the chance to play a key role in building a strong local fire protection capability within a respected national business.
You’ll be joining a highly regarded, multidisciplinary building services team with the backing of experienced specialists across Australia. This role will suit someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys working across varied and high-profile projects, and is motivated by the opportunity to make a genuine impact technically, commercially, and through relationships.
We’re looking for someone who brings strong technical fire protection expertise, confidence in client-facing environments, and the leadership presence to contribute to team development and business growth.
In this role, you will:

Lead fire protection design, documentation, and contract administration across a range of projects.

Review and contribute to high-quality design deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and consistency.

Work closely with clients and project teams to deliver practical, coordinated solutions.

Support project delivery from concept through to completion, with a focus on quality, risk management, and commercial outcomes.

Help shape and grow our Perth fire protection capability, including mentoring others and contributing to business development opportunities.
What we’re looking for:

Minimum 8 years’ experience in fire protection services design within the Australian building industry.

Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian standards.

Experience using fire protection design software, such as Hyena.

Proficiency in Bluebeam and MS Office.

Understanding of Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks is highly regarded, but not essential.

Strong documentation, coordination, and design workflow experience.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in client and stakeholder engagement.
