We’re looking for a collaborative and commercially minded Groups & Events Manager to take the reins of our Groups & Events team.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who knows that exceptional events are about more than flawless execution. You are about creating memorable guest experiences, building strong client relationships and delivering commercial results. With a strong background in Meetings & Events, and preferably hotel or resort operations, you’ll bring energy, creativity and a strategic mindset to every interaction.
You’ll lead a dynamic team, partner closely with key stakeholders, and turn client needs and customer insights into experiences that exceed expectations. At the same time, you’ll have your eye firmly on the bigger picture - driving revenue, maximising team performance and identifying opportunities to grow our Groups & Events business.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Manage the Groups & Events team to achieve revenue goals and provide a seamless experience for guests.
Utilize customer insights to enhance products and services, ensuring outstanding customer engagement.
Monitor and act on client feedback to enhance the customer experience.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and communicate client requirements effectively.
Manage financial aspects, including pricing strategies, profit goals, and budget planning.
Collaborate with the sales team.
Stay informed about competitor activities and industry trends to influence our strategy.
Promote responsible business practices and uphold company policies.
Salary rate $90,000.00 + super

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
Experience in Meetings & Events, hotel or resorts highly desirable
Supervisory experience in sales/catering team management
Bachelor’s Degree or higher education in hospitality or related field
Ability to manage diverse stakeholders
Proactive in building strong relations with stakeholders
Strategic and tactical thinker
Effective at goal setting and project delivery
Strong analytical skills
Strong organizational, written, and communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
Must be eligible to work in Australia
