Salary: $118,969 – $132,069 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.
Lead business analysis for strategic initiatives, shaping process, system and data solutions that support university transformation.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will support strategic and transformational initiatives by analysing current and future business needs across processes, systems, structures, data and reporting. Working within the Office of Strategy & Transformation, you will translate complex requirements into clear documentation, practical options and shared priorities that align with strategic objectives.
You will lead workshops, interviews and stakeholder engagement activities to gather input, validate requirements and build common understanding across schools, divisions and senior leaders. You will prepare feasibility assessments, use cases and business cases that clearly articulate objectives, benefits, costs and risks, while also helping teams manage interdependencies, change impacts and implementation readiness.
You will use tools such as SQL, Excel, Visio or equivalent platforms, and data visualisation tools to analyse performance and support evidence-based decisions. You will contribute to testing and validation, help transition knowledge, products and services into operation, and provide mentoring and quality oversight to two Business Analysts to maintain consistent, high-quality outputs.

Mentor analysts, maintain quality outputs, and prioritise optimisation and standardisation opportunities that improve business value and efficiency.

About You
-
A degree in Business, Information Technology or a related field, with extensive experience in business analysis and improvement in complex environments. Experience in the higher education sector is preferred, and a postgraduate qualification is desirable.

Demonstrated ability to assess and document current and future state processes, systems, data, structures and reporting.

Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in SQL, Excel, Visio or equivalent platforms. and data visualisation tools.

Proven experience monitoring, reviewing and reporting on project and business performance using KPIs and data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.

High-level written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with experience presenting complex information clearly and supervising analysts to deliver consistent, high-quality outputs.
