Surf Life Saving Queensland is looking for energetic and engaging Community Awareness Presenters to deliver interactive beach and water safety education programs across schools, community groups, public events, and community settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to combine presentation skills, community engagement, and education to create real impact across Queensland communities.

What You'll Do:

Deliver engaging beach and water safety presentations
- Facilitate education sessions in schools, community groups, and events
- Adapt presentations to suit different audiences and environments
- Set up and pack down educational equipment and resources
- Support regional and state-wide community initiatives
- Maintain accurate reporting and administrative records
- Promote positive community engagement and safe practices
About You:

Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
- Current first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Driver License and reliable transport
- Availability to work flexible hours, including school-hour programming and occasional weekends for community events
- Strong communication and public speaking skills
- Confident engaging with groups of varying sizes and demographics
- Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt and think on your feet during program delivery
- Current Surf Life Saving membership and proficient Bronze Medallion qualification or willingness to obtain (desirable)
- Experience in education, community engagement, presenting, coaching, or youth programs (desirable)
- Knowledge of Surf Life Saving Queensland programs and services (desirable)
- Knowledge of beach safety, water safety, first aid, and CPR principles (desirable)

Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) was formally established in 1930, is the governing body for surf lifesaving in Queensland and comprises of 57 affiliated surf lifesaving clubs in six regional branches which service more than 34,000 members. SLSQ employs over 550 people throughout Queensland and is an efficient and vibrant organisation.
