As our operations continue to grow, we require a skilled, experienced, and dedicated Motel Manager to oversee daily operations, lead staff, maintain high service standards, manage business performance, and ensure the efficient and compliant operation of our regional motel facilities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
· Managing the daily operations of the motel, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of accommodation and guest services.
· Directing and supervising reception, reservations, housekeeping, room service, and front office operations.
· Monitoring room occupancy, managing bookings, and implementing strategies to maximise occupancy and revenue.
· Spervise motel staff to ensure high standards of performance and customer service.
· Planning staff rosters, allocating duties, and monitoring employee attendance and productivity.
· Ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, and facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, presentation, and functionality.
· Coordinating housekeeping, maintenance, gardening, and property upkeep to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for guests.
· Planning, supervising, and overseeing room services.
· Handling guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
· Assessing customer feedback and implementing improvements to enhance guest experience and service quality.
· Overseeing purchasing, inventory control, and procurement of accommodation supplies, food, beverages, cleaning products, and operational equipment.
· Monitoring financial performance, overseeing accounting and banking activities.
· Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety (WHS) policies, emergency procedures, and workplace safety regulations.
· Ensuring the motel operates as per local council requirements, and other relevant Australian legislation.
· Developing and implementing operational policies, safety procedures, and service standards to improve efficiency and maintain security of premises.
· Preparing operational reports, maintaining business records, and analysing occupancy, revenue, and performance indicators for management review.
· Promoting the motel through marketing initiatives, online booking platforms, and customer relationship management to increase occupancy and repeat business.
· Liaising with suppliers, contractors, travel agencies, corporate clients, and tourism organisations to support business operations and service delivery.
· Providing guests with local tourism information and arranging transportation, tours, and other travel-related services to enhance their stay.
· Ensuring the security of guests, staff, property, and motel assets by supervising security procedures and responding appropriately to emergencies and operational issues.

· Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities to ensure high guest satisfaction
· Proficient in using property management systems (PMS), booking platforms, and reservation software
· Solid financial management skills with the ability to handle budgeting, operating costs, and vendor relations
· Exceptional communication skills to coordinate effectively with guests, staff, and property owners
Qualifications
Advanced Diploma or Diploma of Hospitality Management OR at least three years of full-time, relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications
Work Experience: At least one year of full-time related experience.
Remuneration: The successful applicant will receive an annual salary of $80,000 plus superannuation.
Status: Full Time (38hours/week)
Employment Conditions
Employment conditions will be in accordance with the National Employment Standards and other relevant instruments under Fair Work Australia.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
