MacKellar is looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our Nambour workshop. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering competitive pay, consistent Monday–Friday hours and the chance to work on a diverse heavy vehicle fleet.

What’s on offer
- Hourly rate $55ph, negotiable depending on experience

- Monday–Friday roster with weekends off

Your day-to-day
Working from our Nambour workshop, you’ll help keep our heavy vehicle fleet safe, reliable and ready for operation.
You’ll be involved in a broad range of mechanical maintenance and repairs, including:
- Servicing and repairing trucks, trailers and heavy vehicles
- Completing preventative and scheduled maintenance
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Troubleshooting issues and carrying out effective repairs
- Ensuring all work meets safety, quality and compliance requirements
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the workshop
- Working collaboratively with the wider maintenance team
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who is technically capable, reliable and takes pride in their workmanship.
You’ll have:
- A trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Diesel Fitter / Road Transport Technician
- Experience working on heavy vehicles
- Strong mechanical diagnosis and fault-finding skills
- A commitment to safe, quality workmanship
- Good attention to detail
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A positive and flexible approach to day-to-day workshop requirements
