About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance & Business Services, this role is responsible for overseeing facilities management, contractor management site services, and workplace health and safety across our Head Office environment. You will provide leadership, governance and operational support to ensure our workplace remains safe, compliant and operating at its best.
You will work closely with the site stakeholders, suppliers, contractors and Corporate WHS team while leading a small team responsible for site services and concierge operations.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Workplace Services
- Lead the day-to-day operation of Head Office facilities and building services.
- Manage contractors, vendors and service providers to ensure high service standards.
- Oversee maintenance, workplace services and site infrastructure.
- Manage facilities budgets and support procurement activities.
- Partner with stakeholders to continuously improve the workplace experience.
Workplace Health & Safety
- Coordinate and support Head Office WHS programs and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and Sanitarium's WHS Management System.
- Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments and safety audits.
- Coordinate WHS inductions, training and emergency response procedures.
- Support incident investigations, hazard reporting and corrective action management.
- Coordinate end to end injury management and Workers Comp processes to support return to and recovery at work.
Leadership & Governance
- Provide direction and leadership to the Site Services team.
- Develop and maintain WHS and facilities documentation, procedures and records.
- Support internal and external audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
You are a practical and collaborative professional who enjoys working across both facilities management & WHS. You can comfortably move between strategic planning and hands-on operational delivery.
You will bring:
- Experience in Facilities Management, with exposure to Workplace Health & Safety, or a related field.
- Awareness of WHS legislation and risk management principles.
- Experience managing contractors, service providers and workplace operations.
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
- Experience leading and influencing teams.
- Relevant Facilities, Business, or WHS qualifications will be highly regarded.
