We are seeking a Senior Workday Payroll Consultant to support and enhance a live Workday Payroll environment in Australia. You will own hands-on configuration, testing and post-live optimisation, partnering with HR, Payroll and Finance to deliver scalable solutions. Experience with Time Tracking and Absence Management is valued.
Responsibilities

Lead design, configuration, testing and deployment of Workday Payroll enhancements
- Troubleshoot complex payroll processing issues across calculations, earnings and deductions and tax setup
- Partner with HR, Payroll and Finance to gather requirements, run gap analysis and recommend Workday best practices
- Build test plans, execute unit and system testing and support user acceptance testing
- Support Workday semi-annual release impact assessment, validation and remediation
- Maintain configuration documentation, decisions and support runbooks
- Ensure payroll configuration aligns with applicable compliance requirements
Requirements

Workday Payroll configuration skill sets in a live or post-live environment
- Experience delivering end-to-end Workday Payroll implementations or major optimisation initiatives
- Hands-on knowledge of payroll framework, earnings and deductions and payroll settlements
- Understanding of tax profiles, withholding rules and payroll accounting setup in Workday
- Stakeholder partnership across HR, Payroll and Finance teams
- Problem-solving approach with strong attention to data accuracy and detail
- Clear communication that translates functional configuration into business outcomes
Nice to have

Workday Time Tracking configuration including time entry templates, holiday calendars and time calculation rules
- Workday Absence Management configuration including plans, accrual rules and time off types
- Workday Payroll certification (current or former)
