Are you a strategic commercial leader with a passion for turning insights into growth?

Join Nestlé's iconic Confectionery business as our Commercial Development Manager on a 12-month parental leave contract. In this highly visible role, you'll shape category strategy, influence key business decisions, and partner with some of Australia's largest retailers to drive growth across our Chocolate portfolio.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Development - Confectionery, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in one of Australia's most loved FMCG categories while leading strategic initiatives and developing high-performing teams.

A Day in the Life

As Commercial Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Confectionery business by:

Leading the development and execution of category, channel, and investment strategies across the Chocolate portfolio.
Transforming shopper, customer, and market insights into winning category strategies that drive growth and strengthen our market leadership.
Identifying growth opportunities through deep analysis of consumer trends, retailer dynamics, and category performance.
Partnering with major retailers to influence category direction and unlock mutual business opportunities.
Developing compelling point-of-purchase solutions and customer-facing recommendations that bring our brands to life in-store.
Collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to shape portfolio strategies and deliver exceptional commercial outcomes.
Coaching and empowering team members while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance.
Driving strategic initiatives that accelerate category growth and strengthen Nestle Chocolate position within the Australian confectionery market.

What will make you successful:

We're looking for a strategic thinker, commercial leader, and relationship builder who can confidently navigate a dynamic FMCG environment.

You will bring:

Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic business plans that drive growth.
Deep understanding of category management principles, shopper behaviour, and customer strategies.
Experience leveraging data and insights from tools such as Circana, Synergy, Quantium and other relevant market intelligence platforms.
Strong financial and analytical capability, with the ability to translate complex data into compelling business recommendations.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills and a track record of influencing cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
A collaborative mindset, positive energy, and a passion for delivering category leadership and commercial excellence.
A growth mindset with a genuine desire to challenge the status quo, inspire others, and celebrate success.
