The Casual Security Officer role is an on-site position based in the Greater Brisbane Area. The officer will be responsible for maintaining a visible and professional security presence, conducting regular patrols, monitoring entrances and exits, and ensuring the safety of clients, staff, and property. Daily tasks may include access control, crowd management at events, incident reporting, and coordinating with emergency services when necessary. The role also involves responding to security alarms, observing and reporting suspicious activities, and following site-specific procedures and protocols. Casual Security Officers must be available for variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, depending on operational requirements.
Qualifications
- MUST have QLD security license.
- Must have own vehicle and valid QLD drivers license
- Experience in physical security operations, including patrols, access control, and incident response.
- Strong observation, risk awareness, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to act calmly under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, visitors, and colleagues in a professional manner.
- Ability to follow procedures, complete clear incident reports, and use basic security technology (e.g., radios, CCTV systems).
- Good level of physical fitness to perform patrols, stand for extended periods, and respond quickly to security concerns.
- Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct.
- Previous experience in executive protection, event security, residential security, or K9-supported operations is an advantage.
- Training in first aid, CPR, or conflict management is beneficial.
Pay: $45.00 – $80.00 per hour
