Financial Crime Data Analyst – Banking Data & Compliance
We are seeking an experienced Financial Crime Data Analyst to join a large-scale banking data initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and data analysis skills, along with hands-on experience in Financial Services, AML, and Financial Crime data domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on large-scale data integration and data analysis initiatives within a banking environment.
- Perform data analysis, profiling, validation, and investigation using SQL and database querying techniques.
- Support data modelling activities and contribute to the design and understanding of conceptual data models.
- Analyse Financial Crime data related to Transaction Monitoring (TM), Transaction Threshold Reporting (TTR), International Funds Transfer Instructions (IFTI), customer screening, and payment screening.
- Work with customer risk assessment and regulatory reporting data requirements.
- Collaborate with business, technology, and compliance teams to understand data requirements and deliver insights.
- Ensure data accuracy, quality, and integrity across enterprise data platforms.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in data integration, data analysis, or related data roles.
- Strong intermediate-level SQL skills with experience in database querying and data profiling.
- Experience with conceptual data modelling and understanding of enterprise data structures.
- 2+ years of experience in Financial Services, Banking, AML, or Financial Crime domains.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
- Transaction Threshold Reporting (TTR)
- Transaction Monitoring (TM)
- International Funds Transfer Instructions (IFTI)
- Customer and Payment Screening
- Customer Risk Assessment
- Tax Reporting
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working within the Westpac data ecosystem or similar banking environments.
- Familiarity with platforms such as EDW, ADAPT, GCM, and related enterprise data assets.
- Experience working with regulatory, compliance, or risk data initiatives.

Pay: $600.00 – $700.00 per day
