We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Forklift Operator / Apiary Logistics Operator to join our growing beekeeping and agricultural operations team based in Yass, NSW.
This role involves operating forklifts and handling beekeeping equipment at our Yass feed shed and warehouse facilities, as well as regular field-based work involving the loading, unloading, transport, and movement of beehives and associated equipment across remote apiary locations throughout regional Australia.
This is a physically demanding and hands-on role that requires flexibility, resilience, and the ability to work in challenging outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently within warehouse and yard environments
- Load and unload beehives, pallets, bee feed, and beekeeping equipment
- Assist with transport logistics and field operations across remote apiary sites
- Secure loads for transport and ensure compliance with safety procedures
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Assist with stock control and warehouse organisation
- Work collaboratively with beekeeping and operations teams
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Perform manual handling and physically demanding tasks where required
Working Conditions
This role involves regular travel to remote and regional locations where facilities may be limited or unavailable.
Applicants must be comfortable:
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Performing physically demanding labour
- Spending extended periods in remote areas
- Staying in basic accommodation including camping when required
- Working long and flexible hours during peak operational periods
- Handling live beehives and working around bees
- Travelling on rural and unsealed roads
This role is not suited to applicants seeking a standard warehouse-only position.
Skills & Experience
- Previous forklift operating experience preferred
- Current LF Forklift Licence required
- Experience in agriculture, warehousing, logistics, or outdoor operations highly regarded
- Ability to work independently in remote and regional environments
- Physically fit and capable of manual labour
- Strong reliability and work ethic
- Basic mechanical aptitude advantageous
- Truck licence or experience towing trailers highly regarded
- Experience working around livestock, farming, or beekeeping operations advantageous

Pay: $27.80 – $37.80 per hour
