Opportunity:
Due to ongoing growth, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Company Accountant to join our head office located in Melbourne CBD and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Company Accountant will be responsible for providing assistance across all areas of the finance and operation departments.

Key duties and responsibilities:
- Managing end to end Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
- Assisting in planning and formulating company’s budgetary and accounting policies
- Budgeting & forecasting cost and sales revenue
- Monitor and investigate necessary operating costs and company’s income and expenditure
- Preparing financial statements for presentation to management, stakeholders and statutory bodies
- Provide assurance on accuracy, completeness and validity of information contained in company’s financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements
- Responsible for producing and analysing end of month reports for company,
- Auditing all bills, purchase orders and invoices to prepare accurate financial Statements,
- Budgeting & forecasting cost and sales revenue
- Liaising with financial institutions and statutory bodies to manage financial transactions
- Examining and analysing cash flow, income, expenditures and operating costs,
- Assisting and recommending CEO on selection and adapting of latest accounting system and practices
- Monitors and plans company’s payment structures
- Creating reports and outstanding statements on MS Excel from student management system (RTO Manager/Meshed Group)
About you:
Ideally you will have come from a strong background from finance and accounts department.
The successful candidate will need to have a tactful and empathetic approach with account management, and have the following:
- Minimum Three (3) years’ experience in finance and accounting role.
- Relevant Tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience
- Confident personality that enjoys managing and leading teams.
- High degree of professionalism as you will be handling confidential / sensitive information.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- High attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.
- Superior competency level of Excel skills (v look ups & pivots)
- Experience using accounting software such as XERO.
- Experience using Student Management System
- Highly developed problem-solving skills.
- Results focused.
Salary Offered- 85,000 to 95,000 per annum + superannuation
Hours: 38 hours per week
Position: Full-time and permanent
Work Authorisation: Permitted to work in Australia unrestricted
