The role
As Deputy Director-General, Clinical Support Queensland (CSQ), you will lead a pivotal statewide division that sits at the core of Queensland's health system capability. Your portfolio spans highly specialised and essential services, from laboratory science and forensic expertise to health technology, advanced screening programs, and vital supply chain operations.
This is a role with system-wide influence and impact. You will ensure these essential services operate seamlessly, reliably, and in alignment with the needs of patients, clinicians, and communities across the state.
As a senior executive, you will:
Shape the future of clinical support services through long-term planning, strategic reform, and service modernisation
Champion innovation and integration, driving new models of service delivery across a large, multidisciplinary workforce
Strengthen system resilience, positioning the division to respond to emerging health challenges, technological disruption, and increasing demand
Advise at the highest levels, supporting the Director-General and contributing to whole-of-system reform
You will play a critical role in executive decision-making and system stewardship, influencing policy, embedding strong governance and performance frameworks, and working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to deliver sustainable, high-quality services.
Importantly, you will lead with purpose, championing initiatives that advance equity, especially improving access and outcomes for First Nations peoples and communities experiencing disadvantage.

You are an accomplished senior executive who thrives in complexity and leads with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
You bring:
Proven executive leadership experience, guiding large, multidisciplinary teams delivering high-stakes, precision services
A deep understanding of complex health systems, including the interplay between clinical services, infrastructure, workforce, technology, funding, and regulation
The ability to balance immediate operational demands with long-term sustainability and reform
A track record of driving change, navigating ambiguity, and managing statewide risk
You are highly skilled at working across boundaries, building trusted relationships, and mobilising diverse stakeholders toward shared goals. At the executive table, you contribute insight, judgement, and influence, grounded in both analytical rigour and lived leadership experience.
