What you'll be doing
As an Administration Officer, Bookings & Admissions, you will be responsible for the efficient management of elective admissions and waiting lists while providing exceptional customer service to patients, families and healthcare professionals. Your ability to prioritise competing tasks, maintain accuracy and build strong working relationships will be key to your success in this role.
Process Recommendation for Admission Forms (RFAs), maintain electronic waiting lists and coordinate clinic, theatre and admission bookings
Liaise with medical, nursing and administrative staff, as well as external healthcare providers and community services
Deliver high-quality customer service through professional, empathetic and culturally sensitive communication
Monitor, audit and maintain waiting list records in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and performance requirements
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of patient privacy, confidentiality and data accuracy

Relevant experience in admissions and bookings processes
Experience with computerised patient administration systems
Sound knowledge of NSW Health Planned Surgery Access Policy
Experience in a customer service role demonstrating effective interpersonal skills

Demonstrated time management and organisational skills to manage competing priorities
