As a Carrier Relations Manager, you'll play a critical role in managing and optimising our international carrier and voice supplier ecosystem, ensuring we secure the right capacity, pricing and partnerships to support our network growth and customer needs.

What you'll be doing
As the Carrier Relations Manager, you will own the commercial lifecycle management of international connectivity and voice services, working closely with global carriers and internal stakeholders across Wholesale, Enterprise & Government, Products, Engineering and Operations.
You will:
- Manage requests for quotation (RFQs) and source competitive pricing from international carrier and voice providers.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of international capacity services, including ordering, provisioning, upgrades, renewals, cancellations and invoice management.
- Identify opportunities to optimise spend, improve commercial outcomes and deliver cost savings through strategic sourcing and negotiation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international carrier partners.
- Support large-scale fibre capacity procurements, tenders and contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve operational challenges and contribute to vendor and carrier strategy.
- Monitor contractual obligations and supplier performance, driving accountability and continuous improvement.
- Manage and support bilateral domestic and international voice partnerships.
- Prepare reporting and commercial insights for senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and supplier management practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records across carrier relationships and commercial agreements.
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone with a strong blend of commercial acumen, telecommunications knowledge and stakeholder management capability.
Essential experience and skills
- 3 to 5 years' experience in sourcing, procurement, carrier management, supplier management or commercial negotiations.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Experience managing external vendors, suppliers or carrier relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, technical and financial acumen.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Experience driving projects and initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to influence decision-making and improve operational performance.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex commercial and operational issues.
- Confidence communicating insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable
- Telecommunications, carrier, network or voice services experience.
Experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Frontier or LSD systems.
- Financial modelling experience.
- Exposure to wholesale telecommunications environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Telecommunications, Engineering or a related discipline; or Equivalent industry experience (3 to 5 years) in sourcing, supplier management, commercial negotiations or carrier management.
