About the role
The City of Unley is seeking an experienced Team Leader Communications, Marketing and Engagement to shape and deliver an integrated communications strategy that strengthens community trust, enhances the City’s reputation and drives community engagement to support the delivery of meaningful community outcomes.
Reporting to the Manager Customer Experience and Communications, you will play a central role in shaping the City’s strategic communications, corporate engagement and marketing initiatives, driving how Council engages with the community.
You will work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across Council to provide strategic and specialist technical advice, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to organisational priorities.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to build team capability and drive a high performing culture in a multi-functional team.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic marketing, communications and media initiatives, including digital and content strategies.
- Well-developed understanding of contemporary communication, marketing and engagement practices, including digital media, communication engagement frameworks and media management.
- Demonstrated experience using data, audience insights and metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes.
- Local government or public sector experience will be well regarded.
