⭐ Lead Educator (Junior Kindy 3–4) | Gumdale
Journey Gumdale is seeking a confident Lead Educator to guide our Junior Kindy room (3–4 years). This role is perfect for someone who enjoys leading a team and supporting children as they build confidence, independence, and strong foundations for learning.
You’ll lead engaging, play‑based programs while mentoring your team and contributing to a consistent, high‑quality learning environment—all with strong leadership support behind you.
This is a permanent part‑time role, 37.5 hours Monday to Friday.
✨ What You’ll Be Doing
✅ Leading the Junior Kindy program for children aged 3–4 years
✅ Supporting children’s confidence, independence, and school readiness foundations
✅ Creating engaging, high‑quality play‑based learning experiences aligned with the EYLF
✅ Guiding your team to deliver consistent, high‑quality practice
✅ Building strong relationships with children, families, and your team
✅ Contributing to Storypark documentation and learning journeys
✅ Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
About You
You are a nurturing and motivated educator who enjoys leading by example and supporting others to grow. You understand the importance of the 3–4 age group in building social confidence and independence.
You’ll bring:
ACECQA‑recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Education
Must have completed National Child Safety Training
Experience as a Lead Educator, or readiness to step into leadership
Strong understanding of child development and play‑based learning
A calm, positive, and collaborative leadership style
Confidence building relationships with families and teams
Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates
Experience with Storypark or similar platforms (desirable)
