What you'll be doing
As a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) Neurologist, you will provide expert, patient-centred neurological services across the Murrumbidgee Local Health District, delivering high-quality assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management for patients with a broad range of neurological conditions.
Working across inpatient, outpatient and community-based settings, you will play a key role in delivering safe, evidence-based care while supporting continuity of treatment for patients throughout the region. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to clinical leadership, multidisciplinary care, service development, quality improvement and research initiatives.
You will also support the development of the future medical workforce through the supervision, teaching and mentoring of junior medical staff, medical students and other healthcare professionals. This role is ideally suited to a specialist neurologist seeking to make a meaningful impact within a progressive regional health service while enjoying professional autonomy and a diverse clinical caseload.
In accepting this position, you will uphold core NSW public sector values, including cultural diversity, equity, ethical practice, and contributing to a healthy, safe, and fair workplace.
