The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Manager (Financial and Asset Accounting) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Lead the day-to-day operations of the financial and asset accounting teams
Play a leading role in the timely preparation of Gold Coast Health's annual financial statements
Lead Gold Coast Health's asset accounting function by providing expert advice
Prepare timely and accurate reports for Queensland Treasury, in particular quarterly actuals Tridata submissions
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is mandatory
Professional accounting certification (e.g, CPA,CA, IPA, CMA etc) is mandatory
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
Temporary full time (12 months with the possibility of extension)
Base salary ranging from $140,115 - $150,371 per annum

Financial Reporting and Compliance sits within Financial Control and incorporates financial accounting, asset accounting, financial compliance and accounts receivable functions. These functions ensure all transactions are accounted for in a timely and accurate way and can be relied upon by users of financial reports.
