ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive
Operations Support Officer to join our Operations Team on a
6-month fixed-term contract to cover an internal secondment.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role provides high-level administrative and operational support across a broad portfolio including facilities, contractor management, compliance, asset management, facility hire, bus services and operational projects.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys variety, building strong stakeholder relationships and contributing to the smooth operation of a busy and dynamic school environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer
- Coordinate contractor compliance, inductions and documentation
- Support asset management, maintenance planning and facilities administration
- Assist with capital works, landscaping and refurbishment projects
- Manage Complispace registers, workflows and compliance records
- Oversee external facility hire bookings, documentation and invoicing
- Coordinate College bus service administration and provider liaison
- Maintain operational databases, records and filing systems
- Assist with policy reviews, insurance claims and operational reporting
- Support Workplace Health & Safety, compliance and risk management activities
- Contribute to projects, continuous improvement initiatives and College events

WHAT YOU BRING
- Experience in a high-level administration, operations support or business support role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Experience managing databases, records and business systems
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills
- Experience in education or a similarly regulated environment (desirable)
- Current Queensland Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
- Current First Aid Certificate and Driver's Licence
