Auta Homes Group Pty Ltd is a South Australia–based residential property developer and home builder specialising in the delivery of residential development projects. The company undertakes a range of developments including house-and-land packages and townhouse communities, covering all stages from initial concept design and planning coordination through to construction and final project delivery across South Australia.
We are looking for a Civil Engineering Draftsperson to become part of our Adelaide-based team. This position provides the opportunity to work on a variety of residential development projects across South Australia, contributing to the preparation of detailed drawings and documentation throughout the design and construction process. Responsibilities:
1. Prepare detailed civil construction drawings and related drawing documentation for residential development projects to support project implementation.
2. Prepare and update site layout and drawings for stormwater drainage systems (pipe networks, layouts, discharge points, and pumping systems), as well as sewerage and water supply pipelines, ensuring compliance with project and approval requirements.
3. Design and detail boundary retaining walls for residential projects, ensuring retaining wall design integrates with site grading and stormwater drainage systems.
4. Prepare structural layouts for residential steel framing systems and assist in identifying potential improvements in design efficiency.
5. Provide technical support to project teams during construction by assisting with design clarifications and resolving drawing-related queries.
6. Use CAD and other drafting software to prepare accurate drawings in accordance with project specifications, design requirements, and relevant standards and compliance requirements.
7. Support drawing updates and coordination throughout project execution to ensure drawings align with site progress, and make timely revisions based on construction feedback.
8. Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and version control to ensure all project drawings are accurate, up to date, and properly documented.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone:
1. At least a Diploma qualification in Civil Engineering/ Construction/ Drafting or a related field.
2. A minimum of three years’ experience as a Civil Engineering Draftsperson.
3. Proficiency in CAD software.
4. Strong communication and time management skills.
5. High attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing accurate and high-quality documentation.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
