We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Payable Officer to join our team on a part-time basis (24-32 hours per week). This role is responsible for managing supplier invoices, credit card reconciliations and accounts payable processes while supporting the smooth daily operation of our business.
For the right candidate, this position offers a genuine opportunity to broaden your skills and progress into an Accounts Administrator role, with exposure to reconciliations, reporting, month-end processes, debtor management and payroll support as you develop.

The Opportunity
As the Accounts Payable Officer, you will report to the Director and your responsibilities will include:
- Process supplier invoices in MYOB including obtaining appropriate approvals, verifying project, client and job cost information before processing.
- Maintain supplier records and electronic filing systems.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Follow up outstanding supplier invoices and supporting documentation.
- Reconcile company credit card statements.
- Maintain accounts payable registers and reconciliation records.
- Monitor, maintain the accounts email inbox to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Redirect purchase orders and supplier enquiries to the appropriate business units.
- Assist with weekly transaction reviews to support month-end processing.
- Ensure accounts payable transactions are entered accurately and promptly to facilitate efficient month-end reconciliation.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience (2-3 years) in an accounts payable or similar finance administration role with a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience using MYOB.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent professional references.
Desirable
- Experience in a project-based or professional services environment.
