POSITION OVERVIEW
Polyplas is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Sales Specialist – Rainscreen Systems to support the growth of its engineered façade and rainscreen systems business across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.
The role is focused on the technical sale and promotion of rainscreen façade systems, engineered subframe solutions, anchors, brackets, profiles, and associated fastening systems used within modern building envelope applications.
The successful candidate will work closely with architects, façade consultants, engineers, contractors, installers, developers, distributors, and project stakeholders to identify project opportunities, provide technical guidance, develop customer relationships, and support the successful delivery of façade projects.
This position combines specialist technical knowledge with commercial sales expertise and requires a strong understanding of rainscreen façade systems, customer requirements, project coordination, and technical solution selling.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities for rainscreen façade systems and related technical products across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.
- Visit existing and prospective customers to establish, maintain, and develop commercial relationships.
- Assess customer requirements and recommend suitable façade support systems, subframe solutions, anchors, brackets, profiles, and fastening systems.
- Present technical product solutions to architects, façade consultants, engineers, contractors, installers, and developers.
- Support specification-stage engagement and assist customers with the selection of suitable technical solutions.
- Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, and technical submissions for project opportunities.
- Participate in commercial discussions and negotiations relating to project opportunities and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with internal sales, technical, logistics, engineering, and supplier teams to support successful project delivery.
- Assist customers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure satisfaction with products and services provided.
- Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, contractors, consultants, and key industry stakeholders.
- Deliver technical presentations, workshops, product demonstrations, and training sessions to customers and industry professionals.
- Monitor competitor activity, market developments, customer requirements, and project opportunities within the façade and building envelope sector.
- Prepare sales reports, project updates, forecasts, and market intelligence reports for management.
- Support the ongoing development of Polyplas’ rainscreen systems offering and technical sales capability.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience within construction, façade systems, technical sales, business development, or related technical-commercial roles.
- Demonstrated experience in rainscreen façades, ventilated façade systems, subframe systems, or related building envelope technologies.
- Strong understanding of engineered façade support systems including brackets, profiles, anchors, fastening systems, and installation principles.
- Proven experience in technical sales, customer development, and project-based business development.
- International business development or multi-market sales experience highly regarded.
- Experience working with architects, façade consultants, engineers, contractors, installers, distributors, and developers.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

REPORTING STRUCTURE
The role reports to Polyplas senior management and works closely with the company’s commercial, technical, operational, and supplier teams.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Regular travel throughout Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia is required as part of the role. International travel may also be required for supplier meetings, technical training, conferences, customer visits, and project-related activities.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical façade knowledge, customer-facing sales experience, and commercial business development capability.
They will be capable of understanding customer requirements, recommending technically appropriate solutions, supporting project development, and building long-term relationships within the façade and construction industry.
Experience with rainscreen façade systems, engineered subframe solutions, technical product sales, and specification-driven construction projects will be highly regarded.
Pay: $165,000.00 – $175,000.00 per year
