The purpose of this role is to provide biomedical engineering services that support the safe, effective and efficient use of healthcare technology systems, contributing to the design, maintenance, procurement and ongoing improvement of medical equipment and associated infrastructure.
What you'll do
In this role you will provide biomedical engineering advice to clinical and operational stakeholders, support the design, analysis, testing and optimisation of healthcare technology systems, undertake equipment evaluations and acceptance testing, contribute to procurement and tender assessment activities, investigate incidents and equipment-related issues, prepare technical reports and recommendations, support healthcare technology projects, and contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives across Queensland Health.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
Holds a tertiary qualification in Engineering
Has knowledge or experience in biomedical engineering or healthcare technology
Can apply engineering principles to technical problem-solving and project delivery
Has strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Can effectively manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes
Is committed to continuous improvement, patient safety and professional development
