About the role:
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Perioperative Clinical Nurse Specialist with experience in Endoscopy and minor procedures to join our clinical team on a Part-time basis with a minimum of 64hrs per fortnight. Monday to Friday flexible roster, no on-call, no public holidays, closed 3 weeks over the Christmas/ New Year period.
Duties and responsibilities:
This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
- Guide the nursing team to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care
- Using advanced clinical skills, guide the team on relevant standards, policies and training
- supporting the GM/ DON and NUM in quality activities, procurement, rostering and team tasks
- requires an experienced Perioperative Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse with experience in Endoscopy and minor procedures
- Ensure the theatre complex and equipment are ready for surgery
- Ensure patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus
- Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their recovery
- Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses on shift
About You:
You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
- Solid experience as a Perioperative Scrub/Scout
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Advanced clinical and technical skills including problem solving skills
- A passion for education, mentoring and leadership
- Post graduate qualifications in Perioperative nursing desirable
- Experience in the below specialties highly desirable
