The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Plant Assistant to join our Artarmon Concrete team on a permanent full-time basis. Working Monday to Saturday, you will play a key role in supporting our concrete operations, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of materials, equipment and site activities.
As a Plant Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Safely operating plant and equipment including Front End Loader, Forklift, Bobcat and other machinery
- Receiving, unloading and receipting deliveries
- Material handling and stock management
- Conducting routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment
- Maintaining a clean, safe and efficient work environment
- Providing high-quality service to both internal and external customers
- Contributing to a positive team culture and supporting daily production activities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Front End Loader, Bobcat and Forklift licences (highly regarded but not essential)
- Experience working in a production, manufacturing or industrial environment (desirable)
- A proactive approach and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliability and flexibility to work every Saturday
- A willingness to learn, develop new skills and build a long-term career with Boral
