We are seeking applications from suitably qualified Junior Sous Chefs for full-time opportunities with St Albans.
We are passionate about the individuals who join our team and provide detailed training to set all members of our team up to be successful in their roles.
To be successful for this role you be:
Produce high quality dishes that follow up the established menu and level up to location’s standards, as well as to clients’ requirements
A genuine team player
Have a passion for food and a desire to learn
Demonstrated ability to work with local and seasonal produce
Demonstrated experience to the level of the position that you are applying for
Have a professional attitude, punctuality and reliability
Be able to work under pressure in a busy kitchen
Maintain a high level of quality of standards including food presentation, time management and organisation
Professionally groomed and neatly presented, taking pride in your appearance
Skills & Experience:
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar qualification a must
Proven experience in a busy restaurant for at least 3 years
Proven experience in cooking on wood fire grill
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Exposure in high volume events & conferencing or banqueting environment
Experience in supervising a large team is advantageous
A local certificate in Food Handling, Hygiene, HACCP or equivalent
