The Digital Tech lead is a senior technology leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering Teachers Health's digital technology strategy during a major transformation journey. You'll lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure and high-performing digital platforms, while building modern engineering capabilities, driving innovation and mentoring a high-performing team. Working closely with Digital, Product and Design leaders, you'll play a pivotal role in translating business goals into technical solutions that enhance the experience of more than 400,000 members and their families

What will you do?
- Defining and driving the technical architecture, engineering strategy and technology roadmap for our digital platforms.
- Leading the delivery of high-quality digital products and experiences that are reliable, scalable and secure.
- Establishing modern engineering practices including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps and automation.
- Building AI-driven solutions that accelerate development, improve delivery and enhance customer outcomes.
- Providing technical leadership across solution design, platform development, website initiatives and digital transformation programs.
- Partnering with Product, Design, Data and business stakeholders to deliver innovative digital experiences.
- Leading, mentoring and growing a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Championing engineering excellence through code quality, security, performance and best-practice development frameworks.
- Driving incident management, monitoring and operational resilience across digital platforms.
- Collaborating with external partners and technology vendors to identify and implement new technologies and solution.
What are we looking for?
- 8+ years' experience in technology and digital environments.
- 5+ years in a senior technical leadership role leading engineering teams and delivery outcomes.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Deep expertise in modern software engineering practices, cloud architecture, DevOps and CI/CD.
- A strong full-stack engineering background with experience delivering and managing large-scale digital platforms and websites.
- Experience leading digital transformation initiatives from concept through to implementation.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, operations, security governance and scalable system design.
- Experience building, coaching and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A passion for innovation, continuous improvement and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled development practices.
- The ability to influence senior leaders and build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Experience within a regulated industry such as health, insurance, banking or financial services is highly regarded.
- Exposure to analytics and data-driven decision making, including GA4 is highly regarded.
