Are you a compliance-confident OSHC leader who's ready for your next step?
Payne Rd P&C OSHC is a community-run, P&C-operated service with a genuine commitment to child safety, quality practice, and a supportive team culture. We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Director to join our leadership team and work alongside our Centre Director to keep our service safe, compliant, and continuously improving.
This is a hands-on leadership role — not just a stepping stone. You’ll be a recognised compliance and child safety leader within our service from day one.
About the Role
As Assistant Director, you will be the Centre Director’s right hand on all things NQF compliance, child safety, risk management, and policy implementation. You’ll step into the Responsible Person in Day-to-Day Charge role whenever the Centre Director is absent, giving you real leadership experience and responsibility.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Leading the service’s child safe culture in every aspect of operations - because child safety is always the priority
- Monitoring and supporting NQF compliance, including documentation, educator ratios, regulatory records, and displays
- Identifying and reporting risks and hazards, initiating immediate controls, and contributing to our Risk Register
- Ensuring all service policies and procedures are consistently implemented by the educator team
- Coaching and supporting educators on compliance, child protection, and WHS matters
- Maintaining accurate, regulation-compliant records for children, families, and educators
- Supporting the Centre Director in preparing for Assessment and Rating and in contributing to the Quality Improvement Plan
This role is clearly defined - you’ll have genuine scope and authority within a structured leadership model, with strong support from the Centre Director.
