Wall and Floor Tiler – Full Time
Salary: $85,000 – $90,000 per annum + Superannuation
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Full-Time Wall and Floor Tiler to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship across residential and commercial projects.
About the Role
As a Wall and Floor Tiler, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, measuring and laying tiles, and delivering quality finishes while maintaining high safety and workmanship standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review plans, drawings and project specifications to determine tile layouts and installation requirements.
- Measure and mark surfaces to ensure accurate tile placement and alignment.
- Prepare wall and floor surfaces by cleaning, levelling, waterproofing and applying underlay where required.
- Cut, shape and trim ceramic, porcelain, stone, mosaic and other tiling materials using specialised hand and power tools.
- Mix, apply and spread adhesives, mortar and grouts to secure tiles in place.
- Install wall and floor tiles, ensuring consistent spacing, alignment and finish quality.
- Seal joints, apply grout and complete finishing work to achieve a professional appearance.
- Repair, replace and maintain damaged or worn tiled surfaces when required.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment and a clean, safe work environment in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople and clients to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or equivalent) or at least three years of relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in residential and/or commercial tiling projects.
- Ability to accurately interpret construction plans and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
