Where you'll be working
Macquarie Hospital and District-Wide, NSLHD Eating Disorder Service.
What you'll be doing
The purpose of the position is to provide specialist eating disorder services, liaison and consultation regarding the management of consumers of all ages with eating disorders and their families in the community and hospital based medical and mental health settings across the local health district.
The position will be required to hold a caseload to provide face to face individual intervention in their relevant field and involved in the facilitation of evidence based virtual group therapies.
Funding opportunities will be provided to access clinical supervision and regular training opportunities for professional development within the area of mental health and eating disorders.
The position also provides consultation and supervision to NSLHD clinicians including generalist inpatient and community services on assessment, clinical management, treatment and discharge planning relating to Eating Disorders.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy with registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) or relevant qualifications in Social Work with eligibility for membership to Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Occupational Therapist and Social Worker Level 3 Must have minimum experience as a level 2.

Extensive knowledge and experience in the assessment and delivery of evidence based therapy and treatment models of people with feeding and eating disorders. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of FBT (Family Based Treatment) and CBT-E or working alongside clinicians who are facilitating these treatment models.

Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team and skills to support clinical leadership within a team with demonstrated commitment to professional development, evidence based practice, quality activities and continuous practice improvement.
