About the Position
We're excited to welcome a Practice Supervisor to our Townsville Intensive Family Support (IFS) team. In this leadership role, you'll support and develop practitioners to deliver high-quality services that create lasting change for children and families. Combining practice leadership, coaching and mentoring with a strong focus on child safety and family wellbeing, you'll help drive positive outcomes while building the capability and confidence of those around you.
- Level 6 SCHCADS Award.
- Salary range: $115,340 - $120,441 + Superannuation.
- Full-time, maximum contract opportunity until 23 July 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire practitioners through coaching, supervision and professional development to deliver high-quality, evidence-informed support to families.
- Drive best-practice outcomes by providing expert guidance on child protection risk, safety planning, case management and engagement with families experiencing complex challenges.
- Strengthen team capability by mentoring staff in key practice frameworks and facilitating individual, group and field-based learning opportunities.
- Make a broader impact by fostering strong stakeholder partnerships, supporting service performance and helping families build safer, stronger futures.

About You
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (allied health, social work, human services) with professional registration (if required) and, a membership in a professional association (desirable).
- At least five (5) years’ experience working with children and families, preferably with time spent working within a trauma-informed framework.
- Relevant experience supervising staff in similar role.
- Eligibility to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required), including holding or obtaining required checks (Working with Children Check or professional exemption).
- Current driver’s licence.
