Each role will work 0.6FTE in US and the remainder of their contracted hours in their appropriate technical modality.
The position of part-time Ultrasound Trainee would be responsible for the provision of high standards of patient care and technical expertise whilst gaining knowledge and technical skills in ultrasound. The successful applicants will be required to complete formal education to obtain necessary qualifications in ultrasound for ASAR registration.
We are seeking applicants who are therefore willing to be accountable for the:
- Undertaking of appropriate formal education and training initiatives within the discipline.
- Undertaking comprehensive training and self-directed study
- Welfare of patients including privacy, comfort and confidentiality;
- Security and confidentiality of all patient records;
- Liaison with administration, radiologists, and nursing staff
- Adherence to protocol regarding the completion of patient information forms;
Performance of other duties as directed;

Selection Criteria:
- Eligible to participate in ASAR accredited course for medical ultrasound.
- Display an interest in ultrasound imaging and technology. Enrollment in or Completion of non-scanning Subjects of an ASAR accredited course will be highly regarded.
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Express willingness to engage in CPD activities
- Willingness to participate on the on-call roster
