About the Role
We’re looking for a detail‑oriented Financial Accountant to strengthen our financial reporting, controls, and commercial insights. In this fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own month‑end close activities, including journals, accruals, reconciliations, and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Prepare BAS, PAYG, FBT, and other statutory returns, and support compliance with IFRS/AASB and internal controls.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for COGS, overheads, and margin drivers.
- Track and reconcile trade spend, rebates, discounts, and promotional programs, ensuring accruals align with commercial agreements and providing visibility on ROI.
- Maintain accurate inventory valuation, stock reconciliations, and SKU costing across warehouses, production sites, and 3PLs.
- Investigate purchase price variance (PPV), production variances, wastage, and write‑offs,
- Support ERP and financial system enhancements and identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve data accuracy.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Accounting/Finance; CA/CPA qualified
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with large ERP systems e.g. SAP, Oracle, D365
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commercial mindset.
- Confident communicator who can explain financial concepts to non‑finance teams.
- Thrives in a dynamic, fast‑moving environment.,
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or other high‑volume environments is highly advantageous.
