Experienced Disability Support worker Needed!

To be considered, you must have:
- A reliable, roadworthy motor vehicle available for work-related travel.
- A current driver's licence.
- Experience supporting people with disability.
- Relevant checks and clearances (or the ability to obtain them).
Please note: Access to a reliable motor vehicle is an essential requirement of this role, as support workers are required to assist participants with community access, appointments, and transport.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team.
As a support worker in our team, you will be responsible for supporting individuals with daily living skills, assisting with social and recreational activities, implementing and monitoring practices that will promote a healthier lifestyle, empowering participants to help them achieve their goals. The role will involve working with participants with both low and complex needs. Some may need assistance with medication prompts, and others may show complex behaviours. Experience and professionalism are highly recommended.
Additional Duties for this role include:

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Build rapport and collaborate effectively with staff/management, participants, their family, and friends to achieve a positive outcome and ensure a smooth service delivery flow throughout the participants' plan.
- Assist with liaising with participants families and friends to explore new goals, ambitions, promote and empower participants to achieve their goals, and provide a medium of solid communication.
- Increase participants skills with your active support and promote independence by enhancing their skills and personal development.
- Provide regular and frequent quality and professional support in line with participants plans, needs, and wants.
- Assisting participants with accessing their social community to engage with their friends and social groups to promote a healthier lifestyle.
- Implement strategies and programs to develop/enhance participant skills, identify areas of increased support and opportunities for services to help achieve their goals.
- Shifts that are available range from Monday through to Sunday. Timings of shifts may vary.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $37.37 per hour
