Mekong Bakery is well established bakery business in our local community. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Bakery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bakery and ensure the delivery of high-quality bakery products and exceptional customer service. We offer salary range of $77,000 to $87,000 plus superannuation depending on the candidate’s credentials.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily bakery operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and consistent service delivery
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering a positive, collaborative, and productive work environment
- Ensure full compliance with Australian food safety, health, and hygiene regulations and standards
- Monitor bakery products preparation and presentation to maintain high-quality product
- Manage inventory levels, stock control, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Analyse and manage bakery products and labour costs to achieve operational budgets and financial targets
- Develop and implement local marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to drive sales
- Maintain accurate records, including sales data, expenses, inventory, and staff performance
Skills and Experience required:
- Diploma in Retail, Hospitality, Baking, or a related field (or equivalent relevant work experience)
- Proven experience in retail, bakery, or hospitality management
- Strong leadership, team management, and staff development skills
- Sound knowledge of Australian food safety and hygiene requirements (e.g. Food Standards Code)
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial performance and meet business targets
- Minimum 12 months relevant work experience required
Pay: $77,000.00 – $87,000.00 per year
