Job Description
This role will suit a patient-focused individual with experience in patient manual handling along with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to work effectively as part of a professional team environment will also be key to your success.
As an Allied Health Assistant, you will provide both clinical and non-clinical support, working with Allied Health Professionals to ensure all patients receive high quality patient-focused care.
Your duties will include:

Assist the Allied Health teams in the management of a diverse range of patients who require inpatient therapy.

Conducting group activities/exercise sessions and individual treatments as allocated.

Preparation of therapy areas, equipment, and materials.

Assisting in patient escorting/transport to and from Gymnasium and therapy areas.

Assisting in departmental / service administrative tasks and maintaining resources.

Appropriately follow therapy programs as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
About You
-
Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or current University study in an Allied Health area is desirable.

Experience working in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team or health service industry is desirable.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

High standard of customer service and a team approach.
